We bought this set for our 4.5 year old son and we are very happy with this product. He would play with it for hours and is never bored. We are planning to buy another set for this 5th birtday.
His friends 6-8y.o were very keen on playing it as well.
If you think about buying Magnext for your child I would recommend to go for at least 200 pieces pack. That's about enough to start with. I can't see a point of buying 100 pieces set (or less). I also shopped around as this toy seems to be a bit expensive for what it is, but there are some good offers so you can get it half price if you have time to search.
