Product Description

The iScoot (also known as a bobbi-board) has 3 wheels, making it easier for kids from 3 onwards to balance as they 'surf' the pavements. It looks much cooler than the usual scooters aimed at littlies - no oversized wheels or cutesy cartoon characters here, thanks! Little dudes and dudettes will just love zooming along on it. It is a proud moment when as a Mum or a Dad you see your three year old master and indeed perfect the skills of a fully grown surfer. But believe us that is what happens within days, when you give your child a iScoot! No more frustrating trips to Nursery with children who would rather get out of the buggy and walk in the opposite direction! The iScoot gives children aged three and above independence whilst helping to develop their critical balance and co-ordination skills. It is light weight and portable. It comes apart in two pieces and will fit easily on top of a buggy or in the corner of a cafe. Whilst the age range on the box reads 3 years and above we firmly believe that a two year old who is up and walking will take to the iScoot just as easily as a three year old.

Features

  • The iScoot is great - we have had positive feedback from many of our customers who have bought this fab scooter! The height adjustable handle means that your child can use it from 3 years upwards, you won't have to buy a new scooter as your child gets older.
  • The iScoot is very popular for the school run, no more hanging back dragging their feet - now you will be running to keep up!!
  • Great when one child is still in the buggy and the other is not quite ready to walk "all the way" take the mini micro scooter out and they will enjoy the trip with you! Light and easy to carry it's not a problem if they don't want to ride for a bit you can just hook it onto the buggy! Although in most cases we cannot get the little ones off them!
  • Children can get moving on the iScoot and gain confidence with speed and balance, from the age 3 years and above. The iScoot is different and a great starter scooter because it has 3 wheels, making it easier for kids from to balance as they 'surf' the pavements
  • he steering makes it easy to ride and get around bends without any accidents! The brake on the back is easily managed by the children and soon they have confidence being in full control of this great scooter

Customer Reviews

Great - but be aware what type of scooter this is4
There are remarkably varied reviews about this scooter but I reckon it's great.

It turns by leaning it slightly left or right, not by turning the handlebar like a bicycle. The handlebar is fixed, it does not rotate, the rider simply tilts it slightly to turn. This gives a very stable handlebar to hold on to for small children, plus the scooter will stand by itself, so it works very well for small kids. It's a very natural action for them. However kids used to turning handlebars may take a while to adapt to this different turning method.

My two and a half year old boys adore this scooter. However some kids may not be ready until the age of 3 or so. I reckon it's best for say 3 to 6 year olds. It's a sturdy scooter, but not as ultra-sturdy as the £90 scooters intended for teenagers. It's made from a mix of plastic and metal components. Stronger than a toddler's 'Iggle Piggle' or 'Dora the Explorer' or similar 3-wheel scooter, but perhaps not strong enough for Dad to ride! The quality is quite good, but the folding mechanism is difficult to use, so the scooter is best left unfolded (it's small enough with the handlebar in the shortest position that it fits easily in any car without being folded).

Overall, this is a very good scooter - and a fantastic hit with my kids - but take note of the issues mentioned so you know what you're buying.

Good scooter4
Great scooter but bought it for my 3 year old and I think its a bit old for him. You have to lean to steer it rather than turning the handle bars so is a bit tricky. It will be great when he's a little older.

Mostly brilliant4
My 2 3/4yr old loves it, only downside is I can't fold it at all. It does come apart into 2 pieces but one of them is still the L shape!
